Global and Community Eye Health at IOC 2027

Global and Community Eye Health addresses the prevention of avoidable blindness and the delivery of equitable, accessible, and sustainable eye care. The session examines screening, community programs, health systems, underserved populations, prevention strategies, workforce development, and approaches for reducing disparities in visual impairment worldwide.

Submissions may cover community interventions, blindness prevention, screening programs, access to care, health equity, service delivery, public-health initiatives, and global eye-health challenges. Ophthalmologists, public-health professionals, epidemiologists, researchers, NGOs, policy specialists, and community eye-care providers are invited to participate.
