Global Health Norway Conference 2026

For decades, the Global Health community has built a vast knowledge base of interventions that save lives. Yet, significant challenges remain—from the pressures of climate change, shortage of human and financial resources and the complexities of implementation in resource-demanding environments.

Interestingly, the challenges faced by low-income countries are now being mirrored globally. Issues like human resource shortages, governance and reform, and the need for resilient systems are universal.

This conference is a space to bridge that gap. We aim to bring together Global Health scientific expertise with clinical and leadership experience to create a shared "situational awareness" of health interventions, health systems and health reform solutions with reflections on what works, and why?

Exploring top-down transformations aimed at equity, trust and sustainability. We look at how global frameworks for service delivery, financing, and leadership can inform policy in both low-income and globally.

Shifting the focus to adaptability. How do health systems withstand malfunctioning health reforms, pandemics, economic shifts, or conflict? This theme drills down into leadership, quality management, capacity building and education of health personnel.

Moving from theory to the bedside. We showcase "down-to-earth" research projects involving Norwegian partners, in collaboration with global partners, to demonstrate how data-driven interventions change service delivery culture, and save lives.
