The modern energy sector is undergoing an unprecedented period of transformation, with geopolitical challenges, climate change issues, and technological innovations all coming together. Energy security is becoming a priority, taking on particular importance in the context of global tensions and disruptions to energy supply chains. At the same time, rising energy prices pose serious challenges to industrial competitiveness, innovation, and public welfare, requiring a balance between decarbonization goals and economic logic. Technological innovation opens new opportunities for the transformation of energy systems.

The conference aims to bring together visionary scientists, innovator and investors, policymakers, and other stakeholders for a constructive dialogue on the challenges of modern energy and their solutions, promoting interdisciplinary cooperation and the search for innovative solutions for a sustainable future.

I am pleased to invite you to ENTRUST, the first international conference on Energy Transformation Technologies for Sustainable Future, taking place on 8–11 September 2026 in Kaunas, Lithuania. The city of Kaunas has long been a center for energy education and research in Lithuania. For decades, it has brought together professionals, researchers, and students from energy-related fields within a strong academic and industrial environment. Today, we are delighted to welcome the international energy community in Kaunas for this exciting opportunity to connect, collaborate, and share experiences. ENTRUST 2026 will bring together researchers, innovators, industry professionals, and policy makers to share ideas and explore new approaches in energy transformation. Our goal is to create an open and welcoming space where people from different fields and generations can connect, exchange perspectives, and build new collaborations. Technology is the focus of ENTRUST, driving progress in industry, business, and delivering practical solutions for tomorrow’s challenges. That’s why ENTRUST is more than a conference for scientists: it’s a platform where researchers, business leaders and policy makers can meet, exchange ideas, and explore innovative approaches together. An important part of ENTRUST will be CYSENI audience, our long-standing youth conference participants, which has been organized by the Lithuanian Energy Institute for more than two decades. Young researchers and students have always been, and will remain, a vital part of our community. Through ENTRUST, they will have more opportunities to meet with industry leaders, policy makers, and senior researchers, while also exploring career and collaboration possibilities in the energy field. I warmly invite you to join us at ENTRUST 2026 in Kaunas and to be part of shaping the future of energy together.
